Bill Cole, MS, MA (‘72) – Bill Cole is founder and CEO of Procoach Systems, a consulting firm based in San Jose, CA, that helps organizations and professionals achieve more success in life, sports and business. Cole was the number-one high school tennis player when he was a student at Williamsville South High School and went undefeated in his junior and senior years.

He attended the State University of New York at Buffalo where he played badminton as well as tennis, reaching the quarterfinals of the NCAA National Badminton Doubles Championships in 1975. He earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in sport psychology and went on to play professional tennis in the 1970’s and 1980’s. He earned master degrees in physical education (Cal State -Fullerton) and counseling psychology (Santa Clara University), and today is a recognized authority in peak performance, coaching as well as personal and professional development.

Cole has been a pro tennis tour coach for athletes competing at major international events including Wimbledon and the U.S. Open, and has been an NCAA head coach at two west-coast universities, California State University-Fullerton and San Jose State. Author of the book “Tennis–The Mental Game”, Cole was also a columnist for “Inside Tennis” magazine and is currently co-authoring a book titled, “Professionally Speaking”. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Speakers Association in Northern California and has been dubbed by the NSA as a “speaker’s speaker”.
